Hello everyone…to introduce ourselves, we are a young ministry excited about the vision God has in store for us. Our motto is: having a heart like Christ to equip the Saints to minister Locally, Nationally, and Globally. We’re Moving Forward in the things of Christ!
From our humble beginnings in 2018, a group of believers came together for church service at home. The group decided on Officers for Church and together voted unanimously for the Church to be called Moving Forward Ministries.
The church outgrew the small home rapidly and decided to relocate its church services to 80 Malier Road, Griffin, GA. There the church was able to become a part of the Griffin Community. Moving Forward Ministries are committed to helping the sick, the lost, the needy and saving souls.
Dr. Tracy Anderson our Pastor, Founder and CEO of the Moving Forward Ministries has been preaching over 20+ years. He is a Veteran of the United States Army and has served our country well. He works tirelessly in the Community of Spalding County from the Soup Kitchen to the City Ministerial Alliance.
In 2020, the Pandemic occurred and brought everything to a halt!
Pastor Anderson with careful thought, planning and prayer decided to close the Malier Road location and start a computer online ZOOM Worship Service, Christian Education, and other online ministries.
Moving Forward Ministries went to a ZOOM platform and still conducted church services for 3 years during the Pandemic and maintained its membership.
With much prayer of making a dream possible of purchasing our own church home, the Lord showed up and showed out and we closed on our current church location, 100 Church Street, Griffin, GA on January 15, 2021. We are proud to call this Church facility HOME!
From Humble beginnings to now God has been our Covering Grace. Great works are ahead! We already see the overflow of lives that will be saved. To God Be The Glory!
We are Moving Forward In The Things of Christ!
He was born in San Antonio, Texas and currently resides in Hampton, Ga. For Twenty Years he has served in Ministry as a Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and now as Senior Pastor. Our main initiative is building a healthy community with a focus on children. Dr. Anderson attended Restoration Theological Seminary and received a Ph.D. in Clinical Christian Counseling. He’s Temperament Certified and also a Cognitive Specialist Board Certified member of the NCCA. He is a licensed Chaplain member of American Chaplaincy Association. Dr. Anderson is also an Army Veteran.
She was born in Akron, Ohio and currently resides in Hampton, Ga. She has dedicated her life to the work of the Ministry. Crystal’s initial career started in the USAF after my service I became an Administrator with GE Power Systems. Later, she branched out to start her business as a Professional Licensed Realtor. After working in the real estate industry for twenty-three years she assisted over 4,500 people in finding homes.
Crystal studied and graduated from Southern Polytech University with a Bachelor’s in Technical Management. In addition, she received a Bachelor’s in General Engineering. She utilized all her educational skills in the Church Ministry. At Moving Forward Ministries she is currently the Director of the Youth Ministry with over 15 years of experience.
She is currently the Lead Administrator of Intellectual Property for over 10 years for Panasonic Automotive Systems in Peachtree City, GA. Vertisha has over 35 years of experience serving various community organizations in the metro Atlanta area. She also possesses over 30 years of experience in ministry-sponsored programs. Howard University, Dekalb Community College (Associate Degree), and Agape Biblical Studies (Associate Degree)
Her roles within the church include Leader for Church Planning, member of the Prayer Ministry, Minister-In-Training, Women’s Retreat, Scholarship Award Program, and other service roles. Vertisha serves as the Treasurer for Moving Forward Christian Ministries.
Nancy is a Professional LPN Nurse. She’s worked in the Nursing Field for over 30 years and loves what she does to help those in need. He attended St. Phillips College in San Antonio, Texas, and was awarded a Bachelor’s Degree in LPN Nursing. She’s also a trained Nurse Instructor. As a volunteer, she was the Director of the Youth Ministry for 5 years in Pensacola, Florida. She’s currently a Youth Instructor at Moving Forward Ministries and the Lead Nurse.
